Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know

Was für ein irrer Song, den mir da Flux FM zum morgentlichen Frühstück serviert. Schnell Shazam angeschmissen, Song identifiziert und dann prompt das vielleicht kitschigste Musikvideo des Jahres gesehen. Und trotzdem - ich liebe diesen Track, Gänsehaut überall. Wer ist dieser Typ?
Gotye (ausgesprochen „gore-ti-yeah“) ist das Alias des australischen electronic pop Tüftler Wally de Backer. Geboren in Belgien und aufgewachsen in Melbourne, begann er als Teenie Musik in seinem Schlafzimmer zu machen und war für einige Jahre Leadsänger der Rockband Downstares. Nachdem sich die Gruppe aufgelöst hatte, bewegte er sich in Richtung cut-and-paste electronic music. 

Making Mirror ist nun sein drittes Studio Album, das schon am 19. August diesen Jahres veröffentlicht wurde. In Australien ging das Album direkt auf Platz 1 der Albumcharts. Ich bin gespannt, wie es mir gefällt.
